Presenter

Darya Duma, PEng, PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner is a Senior Consultant with Procept, managing our project management (PM) consulting business, and was the Quality Manager responsible for maintaining our ISO 9001 registration. Practice areas include PM methodology design, PM software implementation, and course design and delivery. Darya was a member of the PMI REP Advisory Board, and is a member of the Canadian Mirror Committee on ISO/TC 258 for Project, programme and portfolio management. Her corporate customers include Canada’s two largest nuclear electricity generators, a defense contractor and two mining corporations. She was (and still is) a practicing Project Manager for over 20 years, with extensive international experience, including developing national and international standards for CSA and ISO, and managing elevator installations for a mechanical contractor.


Program

Procurement management, and especially project contract management, has become an essential project management skill in today’s trend of outsourcing. We will guide you through today’s project delivery strategies and contractual arrangements. Learn the benefits, the risks and how to monitor contractors and vendors for optimum performance. This one-day course will provide the fundamental tools required for managers to achieve the most efficient working relationship with vendors. It will also offer you an insight into the role of the procurement officer or buyer on a project team.
